I have always wanted to be a proper drummer. Whenever I see a band plays, everyone would usually check out the lead vocalist or guitarist. Not me, though. I would always be checking out the drummer. I learnt a number of years ago that the leader of any band isn’t the drummer (the drummer drums beats so shouldn’t he be the leader? o_O) but the bassist. Still, it’s not easy learning to drum.
So I hope that my little boy would grow up to be a drummer (: I’ll be a drummer at my own time ;D

My first layout featuring my family. Initially, my son always made that face whenever we kiss him and I found it really funny. I had a hard time trying to make the brushes look natural but after fiddling around with the elements, I sort of did my best to produce this layout :/

Friends for almost a decade (some, longer), the 7ners, my secondary school clique, is one of the groups of friends that are part of my life. This was taken in May on my Hen’s Night. (Missing in photo is Elisia since she’s studying in the states.) Instead of using the original colours of the photograph, I edited it to match the layout, giving a vintage look to the picture.
I’m a sucker for simple layouts. So, simple it is (:

Source here.
Sooo… This is the huge announcement! I’m part of Shimelle’s Baker’s Dozen Design Team! ;D And since everyone is pretty into cupcakes, above is a photo of awesome Sesame Street cupcakes! (I love Zoe!) In which, happy 40th anniversary to Sesame Street! Love! (:
And at this moment, all 13 of us have posted our announcement layouts so have a look around and check out the talented girls ^^
Baker’s Dozen Design Team are:
Not forgetting Shimelle! We all used her kit The Long & Winding Road which can be found here. Do check out her digital shop at Two Peas in a Bucket as well! (:
I am really looking forward to a great term with this awesome team along with Shimelle. I am really glad to have this opportunity to learn from everyone and appreciate their talents and designing skills. Shimelle, thank you! *hearts* Also, to Baker’s Dozen, I hope to get to know each one of you! (:
And so, here’s my layout! (:

Featuring my son, Zayden Asher, these photos were taken about two days ago. It took almost four weeks for us to register his name because we were having trouble coming up with boy names (the nine months were not enough to come up with nice names). So during our first four weeks with him, he was constantly smiling and laughing even as a newborn (I was told by many that this is pretty normal but, of course, my boy is always special ^^). Thus, his middle name is Asher ;)

My actual layout from the class. I brought photos of my teammates where we celebrated Valentine’s Day 2007. One of the best times with the teams, I must say. It didn’t quite turn out like how I imagined but Kelly made a few suggestions with the cut-out patterned leaves and the arrangement and I quite like it. The choice for alphas were limited (once again) so I have yet to put the title. Journaling is optional since it looks great without it.

I attended the followup workshop—Beyond Basics—at Made With Love (with Kelly instructing again!) and this was the layout I arranged with the patterned papers provided. I still have not added photos let alone the title and the journaling >.< Not really my style since I don’t like pink and ribbons ):

This was my layout with the photos of Shawn and Johnson I brought along. Kelly commented that the colours I chose were very bright and easy to mix around. The flowers for embellishments were not very my choice since I am not fond of flowers. But this layout would be embellishment-free if I did not add any. So in the flowers went. I did not like the alphas but the choices were limited so I picked out the thickers.
Anyway, it’s a tad incomplete since I’ve left out the journaling part. (I’m having trouble coming up with the texts >.<)

I took the Just Getting Started workshop at Made With Love sometime in August with Kelly as my instructor because even though I have been doing this for some time, I had no idea on the terms like acid-free and all that. So it’s more of learning the theory issues :) The layout was the trial layout that I had arranged. I’ve yet to add photos because I wasn’t sure what to put :/

I adore this photo of him because he looked so young and innocent here. Funny thing though, this was taken just late last year or early this year. But he looked rather different now somehow. Quite an easy layout to put together since I feel the need to rush aside from time spent caring for the bubs :)

My first digital layout since I’m more of a paper scrapbooker. I didn’t have much resources since I searched for freebies and did not want to start spending on the graphic files :D Took me some hours since my Photoshop skills were getting rather rusty and I was still unsure how to go about doing digital.
Anyway, this cat is nicknamed Fat Brown by the hubs. It (we have no idea whether it’s a he or she) can be usually found at the park beside our block and is very pampered by cat lovers living around the estate. Thus, this stray cat grew really fat
